The Response-Hive City (2012) is an interactive web-based artwork originally commisioned as part of the online
exhibition ‘History of the Future’, a project conceived and curatored by Jasmina Karabeg and Jennifer Pickering,
and hosted by Alternator Gallery (Kelowna, BC).
It features four composite-photography environments, representing four parallel versions of the same multi-locational, multi-cultural, yet Indigenous-centered landscape. The piece invites the viewer to experience a heart-centered, non-linear journey through these places, informed by their intuitive relationships to plant and animal relatives and culturally significant objects and architecture.
